About the edit
South Asian Beauty Edit is built on a simple belief: beauty and style advice should account for brown skin, South Asian celebrations, and the everyday demands of work in the US. Our perspective is grounded, honest, and made for readers who have too often been an afterthought.
Why we started
Foundation shades rarely describe undertone clearly, and most beauty content still assumes a narrow range of skin. At work, wedding season, and family gatherings alike, the same question kept returning: what actually suits me? The founder spent years testing formulas and planning outfits for both office days and festive weekends, and found too little coverage that took those needs seriously.
South Asian Beauty Edit exists to fill that gap. We write about makeup and skincare for brown skin tones, wedding and festive dressing, workwear that fits a real week, and the quiet confidence that comes from personal image. Every recommendation is an independent opinion, clearly marked when it links to a product.
